Story Cafe

I'd like to introduce Story Cafe in Hiratsuka. Story Cafe is a book cafe operated by Yurindo Bookstores. This cafe is a sandwich specialty store  featuring a menu inspired by writers and novels. There are various menu items, such as dessert, pasta and omelettes as well as sandwiches. In Story Cafe, you can bring in three books before purchase in them from the next bookstore and read them.

I ordered a fluffy egg sandwich and Victorian lemonade. The fluffy egg sandwich is the third most popular menu in the shop inspired by "The Little Prince". This sandwich has fluffy thick-baked egg coated with demiglace sauce and pepper. The sweetness of the eggs and the rich demiglace sauce are very compatible and tasty. The price is 880 yen.
 

Fentimans victorian lemonade is a drink with a history of more than 100 years in the UK. This lemonade is blended with ginger and herbs using the juice of one lemon. The sweetness is modest and the lemon sourness and ginger compatibility are good and make a refreshing taste. The price is 630 yen.
